The Christian message is a message of solidarity, sharing and compassion, as well as of serving and help. It originated in the compassion of God, who has turned to the world to offer his unconditional love. This message is an "option" for the arduous and the burdened, for those suffering from pain and inequality. It clearly shows the vulnerability of the people and their dependency on social deeds and other people's help.
Originally, those meeting up in the name of Jesus Christ had taken up social and educational tasks out of love for God and the people around them.
This "deaconship" is a biblical mission to be fulfilled by churches and their congregations. Appointed, spirit-filled and creative people have done and will continue to do social deeds, helping others in brotherly love. As a result, they become channels of God's love for the world. It is necessary to find and support these inspiring people.
We are convinced that professional structures will further help to fulfill our social responsibilities. That is why we support the establishments of new social institutions and the activities of existing ones within the churches of the Bundes Freikirchlicher Pfingstgemeinden (BFP).
